 Why We Need To Use Our MINDS To Overcome Our Fears?



Groucho Marx is often credited with saying, It's a matter of mind over matter. If you don't have a mind, it doesn't matter. While, Groucho, certainly, made that statement, with the intention of being humorous/ funny, a closer examination indicates, there is more, than a little, truth/ logic, in those words! For a variety of reasons, and, often, dependent on individual circumstances, etc, each of us, have certain fears, which, unless we overcome, and handle, them, will dominate us, but, if we control them, we become stronger, and better! The best way, to transform anxieties, fears, and insecurities, in a positive, productive manner, is to steadily, use our MINDS, and emphasize, creative, valuable, viable solutions, rather than harping - on, all the negative possibilities. With that in mind, this article will attempt to, briefly, consider, examine, review, and discuss, using the mnemonic approach, what this means and represents, and why it's an essential component of maintaining a happier, less stressful, life.

1. Motivate; meaningful; make mark; metrics; mentors: 

You don't need to handle your fears, alone. Most of us, know, someone, we respect, and trust, who, if asked, might be willing to serve as our mentor! Instead of letting anxieties, keep you, from effectively, moving forward, it's important to self - motivate, by using a variety of means/ methods, such as self - talk, positive affirmations, relaxation exercises, etc. Use techniques which might be meaningful, to you, because only then, will they make their mark, for you, to be, better able to, handle the obstacles, thrust in your path! It's often useful, to set, realistic goals, and to carefully, measure your progress, using, pre - established, metrics, and other measures, to tell you, how you are doing!


2. Imagination; ideas; innovate; ideals/ ideology; integrity:

 Use your imagination, to transform ideas, to innovation, which align with your personal ideals, and ideology. Maintain your absolute integrity, because, those, who lie, to each other, only harm, themselves!


3. Needs; nuances; nerves: 

Take the time, to identify, and know, your personal needs, and preferences! Do you know, your preferred, personal niche, and are you willing, to use, the nuances, which work, best, for you? Isn't it better, in the longer - term, to use your nerves, to improve, and be happier, rather than dwelling on your fears?


4. Delve deeply; discover:

 Avoid taking shortcuts, but, rather, delve deeply, in a quest to discover, what you really want, and why! Understand, it's your choice, whether your fears, will control you, or you, will use them, to become better, and stronger!


5. Solutions; strengthen/ stronger; sustainable; system:

 Those, who consider options and alternatives, and create a personal system, which directs them, to viable, quality, meaningful solutions, become stronger. When we do things, which strengthen us, instead of, merely, focusing only, on the current obstacles, we make measures strides, towards a better, more sustainable, future!

We need to commit, to using our MINDS, as our friend, and ally, in order to overcome our fears, and become more productive, better, and happier! Are you ready, willing, and able, to help yourself?
